Steven Lake has done it all: single, common-law, married, and divorced. As he says, “been there, done that.” His work with couples inspired him to write talk2ME: How to Communicate with Women and The Sex FormulaSteven thanks his lucky stars every day for having found the love of his life and they have been together for the past 19 years. “It hasn’t always been easy, we have had our share of challenges like any couple. However, we have always communicated and been willing to improve the relationship.” Intimate relationships are a passion for Steven and he is an editor and writer for the Marriage section of The Good Men Project.

Lake & Associates has a reciprocal arrangement with award winning author and addictions specialist Candace Plattor. Steven Lake works with individuals while Ms. Plattor works with whole families on a long term basis (6 months to a year).

Steven Lake has been helping victims of trauma move from victim to survivor and then on to thriver for over 20 years. First working with women who were victims of sexual assault then with men while working in a maximum security prison hospital. For the last ten years Steven has worked with the BC Society of Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse. Steven has also conducted Critical Incident Stress Debriefings for bank employees after a robbery and for corporations when a suicide has occurred.
